Anthonys Key Resort - Roatan, Honduras

Join us for our 2nd Annual AKR Trip!
    April 1 - 8 2007

For over 30 years, Anthony’s Key Resort has been serving up the spirit of adventure, including diving spectacular reefs, interacting with dolphins, hiking beautiful gardens, and much more... while never forgetting comfort or hospitality.

    Key Superior Room
Discover what many divers, world travelers, nature lovers and active families already know. Anthony's Key Resort is the resort designed by nature where tranquility and adventure combine for a formula that has drawn visitors back again and again.

Perhaps no island in the Caribbean offers more distinctive or easily accessible dive sites than Roatan. The islands reefs and drop-offs are teeming with colorful marine life and are ideally suited for new divers and experts alike. The resort’s fleet of modern, custom-built dive boats whisk divers to 35 different dive sites located just 5 to 30 minutes away. Coral grows thickly on walls that begin in crystalline waters as shallow as 10 feet deep and drop to the purple depths of the Caribbean. Squadrons of eagle ray, schools of brightly colored tropical fish, the occasional meandering shark and eel gardens are just a few of the sites that delight divers. Several large wrecks have also been recently sunk not far from the resort and now wait to be explored. With water temperatures averaging 80 degrees or better, few currents and visibility ranging from 50 to 100 feet, Roatan is a favorite among visitors who prefer their diving colorful, thrilling and comfortable.
    Activites
There are as many activities as hours in the day that keep active travelers busy at Anthony’s Key Resort. Scuba diving and snorkeling Roatan’s sparkling waters are the main attractions but much more is available to curious guests. The Roatan Institute of Marine Sciences (RIMS) offers dolphin encounters and educational programs for adults and children. Certification and specialty courses are offered to divers and snorkelers through the resort’s full-service, PADI 5-star dive facility. Underwater photographers can also enjoy the services of the photo shop.

Nature lovers can enjoy the resort’s grounds by land or sea. Hikers can explore the nature trails at Bailey’s Key and nearby Carambola Gardens. The natural history of the island is featured at the The Roatan Museum located near RIMS. Active guests can also participate in sea kayaking and canoeing, volleyball and horseback riding. Of course if all this gets to be too much, lazing in a hammock, one of the resorts more popular activities is always an option.
There are also several optional activites, and excursions available such as shark dives, canopy tours, and outter island excursions.
